I purchased this property in Reiwa 3 (2021) and enjoyed DIY projects, but as our children have grown and we use it less, we are considering selling. The building was constructed in Heisei 1 (1989) and there are no major defects. After purchase the roof was repainted; there are no leaks. Sewage is handled by a septic tank/onsite wastewater treatment system, so the toilet functions like a regular flush toilet. I am an amateur, but I replaced the floors and coated the walls with shikkui (traditional lime plaster). The water heater has been replaced with a new unit. The property was used as a vacation rental (minpaku), so it could likely be used for that purpose as-is.

The house is located in the mountains and is very cold and humid in winter. The slope up to the house is somewhat steep. The area is almost private and receives very few visitors. It is about a 20-minute walk from Shiraku Station.
