I love snowboarding and moved to the snow country. I purchased this house 10 years ago — it had been an elderly couple’s villa — after getting married and having a child. My husband’s family runs a rest house on the ski slopes, so we lived there during the winter and only used this house in the summer. We have since purchased forest land in Kochi Prefecture and will live at two bases, so we no longer need the house in Hakuba. Property prices in Hakuba have surged recently; at current market levels I feel the price reflects that. In fact, some Australians say a house this close to the slopes is far too cheap for this price, so please understand it isn’t priced like an ordinary detached house in a typical location.

The house is built with very good bricks; in winter the trees lose their leaves and the sun exposure is excellent. Because of the quality of the brickwork the house stays very warm and the wood-burning stove heats the entire home. In summer the leaves grow thick and it stays very cool — there is no air conditioning in the house, but it isn’t needed. The window frames are high-quality wood. A wood-burning stove is installed, and because my husband used to work in forestry スノーボードが大好きで雪国に住み、結婚出産を機に老夫婦の別荘だったお家を10年前に購入しました。主人の実家がゲレンデ内にあるレストハウスである事から、冬場はそちらに住み込みでお手伝いするので夏場だけ家を使っていました。高知県に山林を購入したので2拠点生活をするため、白馬に家が必要なくなりました。今白馬の物件は値段が高騰していて今の相場だと感じてます。むしろオーストラリア人などにはゲレンデの近くの家がこの値段は安すぎると言われる程なので、普通の場所での一軒家の値段ではないですがご了承下さい。

とても良いレンガを使っていて冬は葉が落ち、日当たりが良いです。良いレンガと言うのもありとても暖かく薪ストーブだけで家中温まり、夏場は葉が茂りとても涼しくクーラーなど家にはありませんが必要ありません。窓枠なども木で出来た高級な窓枠だそうです。薪ストーブもあり、主人が林業をやっていた事から沢山集めた薪を一緒にお売りします。

ご近所さんはみんなとても優しい人達ばかりです。車通りが少なく冬場は目の前の道路は除雪が入ります。とても静かで隣近所の距離感も程よくあります。庭で たらの芽やこしあぶら、蕗のとうなどの山菜が取れ、数年おきに立派な天然舞茸が取れます。秋にカラマツの落葉があり少し難点です。雪が多いので自分で除雪が必要になりますが、投雪機を一緒におつけします。水が綺麗なので水道水そのまま飲めます。地下収納スペースと屋根裏収納スペースあります。一階のトイレを2年前に新品に入れ替えました。トイレは2階にもあります。
