The Shimanami Kaido can also be reached in a few minutes, so i3年前まで実母が暮らしていましたが、介護施設に入所してから空家です。1～2ヶ月に一度程度換気と後片付けで訪れています。昭和56年増築されて、その数年前に建てられた家と繋がっています。木造スレート葺2階建て、6DKです。上下水道完備。部屋数が多いうえ、2階の二部屋、6畳と7.5畳の間の襖を取ると13.5畳の大部屋になり3方向に窓があって風通し抜群です。元雑貨商店だったので玄関が広々しており、改築次第で色々な用途に使えます。シャッター付きガレージ有り、軽自動車を駐車していました。ガレージ上に広いバルコニー有り、プランター庭園や洗濯物干場として使われていました。家の東側は道路に面しており、西側は空き地です。築40年を超えているので補修が必要です。海まで徒歩2分程度。車で数分の所にキャンプ場、海水浴場あり。しまなみ海道も数分で行けるのでアウトドアやサイクリングの拠点として使えます。
