This used to be a pottery factory. The spacious site of 1362.01 m2 includes a workshop with living space, a garden, and a separate house. First, let me introduce the workshop with living space. The high ceiling and impressive beams of the earthen floor (about 136 m2!) are the centerpieces of the workshop (former potter's wheel? painting room?). The living space is built on a higher level next to the former factory. The main house has two Western-style rooms, two Japanese-style rooms, a dining kitchen, a bathroom, and a toilet (there are two, but one is old and unusable). You can get a glimpse of the attention to detail of the previous occupants, such as the Japanese-style miniature garden next to the 9-tatami Western-style room. Next is the garden. There used to be various plants growing here, but most of them have now been cut down. You can plant your favorite plants and make a garden, or cultivate the land and make a vegetable patch.

Nakaoyama is a popular area in Hasami Town. There are about 20 potteries and trading companies in the area, and many people visit the area to enjoy visiting the potteries even on weekdays. Pottery festivals are held in the spring and fall, making it a great location for showcasing works. The property currently available for rent is being used by the elderly couple who own it, but if someone requests it, they will decide on the space to rent after considering the number of people using it and the size of the space. In addition to the large space that we are mainly introducing, there is also an atelier (with a potter's wheel and a small electric kiln!) that was used by the couple's daughter, and if you would like a smaller space, this is also available upon request. The couple who own it are very experienced and have been involved in the pottery industry for many years, so they will be happy to give you advice on pottery making techniques.

It is located in an ideal area for doing business, close to Hasami Town's popular spot "Nishinohara" and the former Central Elementary School auditorium, a cultural asset. The first floor is the factory area, office, and separate toilets for men and women. Many gas kilns and pottery tools remain, and they will be given to those who need them. The second floor has a product storage area, a tatami-floored rest area, a reception room, a kitchen, and a lift to lift and lower products. As for how to use it, how about an antique or second-hand furniture store? There is also a lift connecting the first and second floors, so it is easy to lift and lower products. It is a spacious space, so it would be interesting to share it with several people.

This is a vacant property that was formerly a restaurant, located next to "Doronko no Sato," which sells processed agricultural products. The owner is a construction company, so the interior is warm and made of wood. The interior is equipped with tables and other fixtures, as well as a cash register and call buttons for each table. There are three four-person tables, two tatami seats, and four seats at the counter. There are separate toilets for men and women, each with a flush toilet. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary equipment to start a restaurant, as well as tableware made of Hasami ware. It can be used as is, so those who want to start a restaurant can try it with minimal initial investment. It is next to Hasami's popular direct-from-farm market, so it has plenty of customer attraction. Set meal restaurant, curry restaurant, soba restaurant, Japanese cafe... Why not start a restaurant in Hasami?

Iishigo is located between "Nakaogo, the home of pottery" and "Onikigo, the home of rice terraces". It is a very peaceful area with a tranquil view. This property was formerly used as a clay workshop until about 10 years ago. Two long, narrow buildings are lined up in parallel and connected inside. The building facing the road is for rent this time. The large windows allow for good lighting and ventilation, making it a comfortable space to work in. Another point is that the wide-opening entrance faces the parking lot, making it easy to bring in and out materials and products. The structure is typical of a clay workshop, with a high ceiling and beams on a mortar-covered dirt floor. There is a tonpan (a pottery basin) for passing plates, a drying room, and a soil storage area, making it ideal for making pottery. The toilet is outside the building and is currently old and not in a usable condition, but it will be renovated as soon as a tenant is found.“やきものの郷・中尾郷”と“棚田の郷・鬼木郷”の間に位置する井石郷。

Kyushu, Japan's southernmost main island, presents a unique landscape for potential immigrants. The situation with affordable empty houses, or "akiya," varies across different parts of Kyushu. Like many rural areas in Japan, Kyushu has its share of vacant houses, especially in smaller towns and rural areas. This presents an opportunity for immigrants interested in purchasing property at a relatively lower cost compared to more urbanized regions in Japan.
The cities in Kyushu offer a mix of modern amenities and cultural experiences. Fukuoka, the largest city on the island, is a bustling economic center with a vibrant food scene and a growing international community. Other cities like Kumamoto, Nagasaki, and Oita provide unique cultural and historical experiences, making them attractive options for immigrants interested in city life. The cost of living in Kyushu is generally lower than in larger cities like Tokyo or Osaka, which can be appealing to newcomers.
