This was the family home where the owner’s parents lived until a few years ago. It sits in a residential area on a small hill at the tip of the Shimabara Peninsula with a sea view. Daily conveniences are good—supermarkets, a drugstore, a hospital and schools are nearby—and if you walk down the hill you can reach rock pools for playing and fishing in about 10 minutes on foot. It is a convenient location, only about a 4-minute drive to Katsusa Maehama Beach and Shirahama Beach, so the owner had intended to build a second house there as a resort-style retirement home.
