Description

Detached house completed in October 1993 (listed as 30 years old). Originally occupied by four generations (7 people); my family moved out in 1997 due to work and the parent household lived here until 2018. It was vacant after that, but was rented to tenants for about six months in 2022. Inside the building there is damage from past rain leaks: some interior wall coverings (wallpaper) and single-layer wood flooring have peeled, and there are areas where the floor feels soft or bouncy. The balcony waterproofing (the cause of the leak) was repaired in November 2022, and no further leaks have been confirmed since then. The land was originally leased and the lease expired in December 2022, so we decided to purchase the land and sell the property.

I designed this building myself and am very attached to it. I hope the buyer will use and care for it for a long time. The building will be sold and handed over in its current condition. If terms can be agreed, I would appreciate an as-early-as-possible handover.

The property is located in Mori Town, known as "Enshu’s Little Kyoto," which was ranked No. 1 in Shizuoka Prefecture in the 2022 "Cities You Want to Keep Living In" ranking (Daito K

Shizuoka Ken

Settling in Shizuoka

Shizuoka Prefecture, located between Tokyo and Osaka, offers a unique blend of coastal and mountain lifestyle, making it ideal for those seeking a diverse environment. Living here, you can enjoy stunning views of Mount Fuji, beautiful beaches along the Pacific Ocean, and lush tea plantations, providing ample opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking, surfing, and sightseeing. The prefecture is also home to vibrant local culture, delicious cuisine, notably its fresh seafood and world-renowned green tea, as well as traditional arts and crafts. Finding affordable housing in Shizuoka Ken is generally more manageable compared to densely populated regions like Tokyo and its surrounding areas. Prices for properties and rentals are significantly lower, with options ranging from traditional Japanese homes to modern apartments, particularly in smaller cities like Hamamatsu and Numazu. With a budget of around 50,000 to 100,000 yen per month, you can find comfortable accommodations. In terms of quality of life, Shizuoka Ken boasts a slower pace, making it attractive for families and retirees. The region has well-developed infrastructure, good healthcare, and educational facilities. Compared to other regions, such as the Kanto or Kansai areas, the cost of living is more affordable while still offering a high standard of living. Overall, if you're looking for a beautiful, tranquil place to live that balances affordability with quality of life, Shizuoka Ken is a great choice.
