This is a resort condominium at Nojiri Lake Highlands purchased by my father in 1980. After his passing, my brother and I inherited the unit. It is a small 1K (6-tatami) room, but it holds many memories — our family used it for about 40 years across three generations. Now that our children have grown, we have decided to sell.

The location is very convenient, immediately off the Shinano-machi IC exit on the Joshinetsu Expressway. I live in Tokyo and can reach it in under three hours when there is no traffic. By train: from Nagano Station take the Shinano Railway Kita-Shinano Line to Kurohime Station or Furuma Station, then about a 10-minute drive from the station. A road lined with shops including Daiichi Supermarket, Komeri, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, 7-Eleven and Shimamura is about a 5-minute drive away, so shopping is easy. It is very convenient. You can also drive down to Nagano city in about 30 minutes. Nearby sightseeing spots include Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri, Togakushi Shrine and Iizuna Kogen. While I do not ski myself, there are ski resorts at Kurohime Kogen and Madarao Kogen, and the Lotte Arai Resort is about 40 minutes’ drive straight along Route 18.

上信越自動車道信濃町IC出口からすぐの便利な立地です。私は東京在住ですが、渋滞がなければ3時間かからずに到着します。電車の場合は長野駅からしなの鉄道北しなの線で黒姫駅または古間駅下車となりますが、駅からは車で10分弱かかります。第一スーパー、コメリ、マツキヨ、セブンイレブン、しまむらなどが並ぶ国道へ車で5分ほどで出られますので、買い物には困りません。非常に便利です。車で30分ほどで長野市街へも降りられます。周辺には黒姫高原、野尻湖、戸隠神社、飯綱高原などの観光地があります。私はスキーはしませんが、黒姫高原や斑尾高原にスキー場があります。また車で40分ほど国道18号を真っ直ぐ走るとロッテのアライリゾートもあります。観光名所が豊富なリゾート地でありながら街住まいの利便性もあり、セカンドハウスやテレワーク移住にも使えるかと思います。

藤田観光が経営するホテル棟と渡り廊下でつながっており、コインランドリーや夏場はプールが利用できます。

フロント係が常駐しているため保安や管理の面でも非常に安心です。築40年ですがマンション部分の手入れも行き届いていて、いつ訪れても清潔です。日に三度ほど管理の方が見回ってくれるので治安面でも全く問題ありません。他の階には定住者の方もおられます(物件は2階になります)。
なお、部屋はマンション棟の最奥にあるため、ハイシーズンでもホテルのお客さんたちの喧騒は全く聞こえません。

維持費は比較的安いかと思います。月々の管理費が月額約12000円(ガス、水道費込)、光熱費は電気代のみ別払です(3、4日滞在して月1000円弱くらい)。
