Description

This land was purchased many years ago by my late father to help an acquaintance in need. It was inherited after his passing, but to be honest I am having difficulty with it. The site has no road frontage and can only be reached by crossing someone else’s property, so it is a land with issues. It is located mid-slope on a hillside. For a time the family used it as a vegetable plot, but it is currently largely unmaintained. The seller wishes to transfer the property as-is.

Positive points: It is close to Odawara Station—about a 10-minute walk—and once on the main road there are a hospital and a MaxValu supermarket nearby. The location is quiet with good sunlight and suitable for cultivation. In spring you can see flowering peach trees and plants such as fukinoto (butterbur shoots), fuki (butterbur), and mulberries; in summer myoga (Japanese ginger); and in autumn persimmons.

Negative points: Because the property has no road frontage it is not possible to build a house, and access requires crossing another person’s land (permission to cross has been obtained and no passage fee is charged). There is no water service. The parcel is bounded by slopes on all four sides, so the usable a
