Located on a hill in the southern area of Izu Oshima, the property stays cool in summer thanks to sea breezes — we have never experienced unbearably hot nights. The house was built in 1965 (Showa 40), is two stories, and was inherited by the eldest daughter after the owner’s death in 2011 (Heisei 23). There were plans to operate it as a guesthouse, but it has remained vacant since then.

The garden was a thoughtfully designed feature and a source of some pride, but it has aged and cannot be maintained from afar. It is sad to see the house and the garden, which hold many memories, deteriorate, so we are listing the property in hopes that someone will put it to good use.

The floor boards creak, but the framework is solid. Due to aging, there is concern about possible roof leaks. We prefer a buyer who is willing to repair and renovate the property themselves while relocating. The property is located up a slope along the road about 200 m from Mabushi (Mabushi) bus stop. It is very quiet with a good living environment, but there are no supermarkets or hospitals nearby, so a car is necessary. Nearby fishing spots can produce blackfish (mejina) over 30 cm.
