This is the family home where my great-grandmother moved from Yamaguchi Prefecture. Fifty years ago, my father, a carpenter, came as a son-in-law and renovated the main house, adding a two-story building next to it for work. There is also a warehouse (with a toilet and bath). 場所は鯉のお堀から歩いて5.6分で小学校裏隣です。スーパーまで歩いて10分強、太鼓谷稲成神社の近くです。建物の増築の2階下はコンクリート貼りで、ストーブなどが置けます。畑は家の玄関から80mくらい直線がとれる広さです。家の前の空き地は隣家の私道です。町道の予定が予算なく隣家が買い取りました。

畑も広いため月に1～2回、除草、耕作のため帰って管理していますが高齢者の仲間入りしてつらくなってきたので、早めの処分を考えています。畑は広いですが、母屋は見かけより古いです。野菜作りにはうってつけですので、自給自足に良いかもしれません。昔は蕎麦や麦を植えてました。
