About 10 years ago I acquired in bulk eight ground-floor individual commercial units (plus the entire parking area in front of the building) that retain a pleasant Showa-era atmosphere. Before COVID-19 the property was fully occupied, but retirements and closures due to tenant aging have since occurred, and currently five of the eight units are vacant.

I bought this property with the idea that one day I would like to spend time near the sea, and I have carried out repeated renovations. However, because it is far from my current residence and I have become very busy, I have hardly used it and have decided to part with it.

The property was originally a minshuku (guesthouse) that I purchased. Part of the land is leased from a nearby fisheries cooperative for an annual fee of ¥48,000, and I have been told the next owner can enter into the same arrangement. A few items remain on the premises — such as a sofa, bookshelves, a refrigerator and surfboards — and I can leave these for the new owner if desired. There are many rooms; some rooms have already been refurbished (including floor replacement).
