The former Tamanoi Ryokan is a wooden inn building overlooking the sea of Tsuyazaki that is over 120 years old. In the past, coal miners from Chikuho would come to stay here to escape the summer heat, and it was crowded with beachgoers from the Hakata area. After the inn closed, the owner's son, who has a deep knowledge of contemporary art and makes a living as a writer, took over the building and, together with his friends, repaired the aging building while holding Tsuyazaki contemporary art exhibitions, screenings, and operating a cafe. In 2018, the building finally became seriously deteriorated and large-scale repairs were necessary, at which point the support group was consulted. The support group came up with a plan that could be considered, including formulating a large-scale renovation plan, how to raise funds for it, and applying for registration as a tangible cultural property, and proposed it to the owner. After that, in the spring of 2022, the first phase of large-scale repairs was completed with a fund of 6.4 million yen, and a craft beer brewery was welcomed as a tenant. Tenants and studio tenants will continue to be found, and the space is expected to be registered a津屋崎の海を臨む築120年を超える木造旅館建築の旧玉乃井旅館。
