For about five years, I have been spending weekends in Isumi City, buying and renovating used houses as a hobby for rental purposes. This land is located in the popular Matsukaze-dai residential area for surfers, within walking distance to Taito Beach, and close to the Olympic venue at Shidashita. The land is on a south-facing slope, and when I purchased it nearly 0 years ago, I could see the ocean at Ohara from the top of a ladder, but now the trees have grown thick, making it impossible to confirm. For reference, I will attach a photo taken from a drone towards Ohara. I had planned to build a small rental house, but I have started development in another location and cannot manage this project, so I am willing to transfer it if there is interest. The site has a forest-like atmosphere, so a tiny house would also be a good fit.

The property will be handed over as is (I will apply herbicide as needed). Water supply and septic tank are not yet established. A must-see for surfers. Among our local circle we often talk about how nice it would be to live near Taito, and this land was purchased with the intention of eventually building a home with a shop or an apartment. Currently, as shown in the photos, it is in use by our group. The site is located in eastern Chiba Prefecture — Isumi City, adjacent to the surfing mecca Ichinomiya in Chosei District — and is less than two hours from the Tokyo metropolitan area. Locally it sits just off the Kujukuri Beach Line where it meets National Route 128, near the entrance to the Taito Saki Lighthouse. This places it at a comfortable distance from Ichinomiya’s resort-like, lively atmosphere while offering good convenience because supermarkets, drugstores and home centers are located on this side. The area close to the sea has seen year-by-year growth in new residences, apartments, villas, lodgings and restaurants, and land prices have been rising. I inherited land that my father bought long ago. Because I live far away and cannot manage it, I am looking for someone to take it over. The property consists of two parcels.

1) Land category: rough land (genya). Sole ownership. Surveyed area approx. 300 m² (registered area: 191 m²).
2) Land category: rough land (genya). Joint ownership among three people. 45 m² (access path). Parcel 2 is a half share of an access path acquired to provide road access. It is co-owned with others, so only the ownership share can be transferred. There are no buildings, but there is one storage shed approximately the size of 3 tatami. The interior is tidy. I set boundary stakes myself based on the survey map from the time. There are no management fees. No fixed property tax is being charged. The land was left unattended for about five years after my father passed away, but there were no complaints or official notices.

According to Isumi City’s hazard map, part of the property falls within a “Steep Slope Designated Warning Area.” It would be difficult to build a house. I live in Tokyo. About 20 years ago my father purchased this parcel of land. At first we considered building a log house, but instead we placed a trailer house and used it as a vacation home. However, since we purchased a new vacation home elsewhere and no longer use this property, we are selling it now. The first photo is the current Google Maps image of the site. The house seen behind it belongs to someone else and is not included. The second and third photos are older and show the trailer house, but it has since been removed.

Electricity and municipal water are available. There was no toilet, so there is no sewer connection. Gas has not been connected. There are no particular fees to pay, but there is a utility pole at the corner of the property from which we receive a few thousand yen per year, apparently from the power company.
