Currently, the hot-spring pipes and related equipment are cleaned once a month, but the building itself is not being maintained. There are areas where the roof has collapsed, so rebuilding or renovation is recommended.

In recent years many nearby properties have been rebuilt as new hot-spring hotels, and the area is busy with skiers in winter.
