Together with colleagues, we renovate or demolish vacant houses—mainly properties close to the sea—and operate guesthouses (minpaku), shared parking, etc. This property has a good location: you can see the sea from the rooms, it is about a 1‑minute walk to Shimoda Bay and about a 5‑minute drive from Jōge/Shimojōda Station, so we had been considering ways to reuse it. It has been vacant for a long time; some supporting pillars are partially decayed causing the building to lean (they appear fixable by replacing the affected pillars), and some areas of the floor are soft, but there have been no roof leaks since the roof was re‑covered. It was formerly a guesthouse with five Japanese‑style rooms, four toilets, and two baths. Many furnishings and books remain inside. The status of utilities such as electricity, gas, and water has not been confirmed. We are considering selling because we purchased another property in town to start a guesthouse business.仲間たちと、海に近い物件を中心に空き家を改修や解体し、民泊や駐車場シェアリングなどを行っています。こちらの物件は、部屋から海を望み下田湾まで徒歩1分な上下田駅から車で5分程と立地が良く、活用を考えていました。長く空き家になっていて、柱が一部腐食しており建物が傾いたり(柱を入れ替えれば大丈夫の様です)、床がふかふかの部分があったりしますが、雨漏りは屋根を葺き替えてからは無いようです。元民宿で、和室が5部屋にトイレが4箇所、風呂が2箇所あります。室内には家具や書籍などが沢山残っています。また、電気ガス水道などのライフラインについては状況未確認です。今回、街中に別物件を購入し民泊開業に着手するため、売却を検討しています。
