This detached house in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture has views of a beautiful white sandy beach from the rooms. You can reach the beach directly via a small stream without crossing roads or private land (some grass cutting and stairs will be required), so I bought it imagining it would be fun to spend time on the beach using an extension cord for power. It’s an exciting property with potential — comfortable remote work on the beach, family recreation, or interesting rental uses. It’s about a 30-minute drive to Shonai Airport, making access good; in summer you can enjoy the beach, in winter skiing (Hachimoriyama Ski Area is about 15 minutes by car), and hot springs (Atsumi Onsen public bath is about 15 minutes by car), so it’s enjoyable year-round. I originally bought it as a leisure base intending to use it myself but I had to give up due to work commitments.

The building is in a condition where, after removal of belongings, cleaning, and minor repairs, it should be livable. There is also a garage where a car can be parked (there is a sign of a past leak in one spot). The house faces a public road and rebuilding is possible, so building new is an option.
