It is a 15-minute drive north from the town of Yufuin. The surrounding area is entirely mountainous. This land, which is quite remote, was mostly deforested about 10 years ago. It has a gentle slope facing south, and there are also quite a few flat areas (please refer to a 1/25000 map or Google Earth; the location is approximately 67% closer to the Tateshita Mountain when connecting a straight line between Yufu Mountain and Tateshita Mountain (northwest of Yufu Mountain)). Since it is a reforestation mountain, please plant trees as a principle; it is a stage for a religious way of life that respects ecology. The prefecture allows small management buildings for reforestation. Deer damage and the thick growth of miscanthus grass are enemies of reforestation, and it may not succeed without permanent residency... There are examples of success in Hokkaido where reforestation was achieved after exterminating miscanthus grass by grazing cattle. 水源涵養保安林ですから原則植林をお願いします。発電、お墓、サーキット場ほか営利の利用は県の許可が下りません。「植林や手入れは　市に任せてほしい、収穫時に利益を折半する契約もあるが・・」と言われたことがあります。固定資産税はありませんから　資産として保有するという考え方もありそうです。

地元のジビエ料理屋が　そのお仲間と　植林・ジビエ・馬の三本立で可能かについて県と協議中です。現在、契約まではしておりませんが、その可能性があります、この方が一番の優先順位になりますのでご了解をお願いします
