Hokkaido is where I was born. I remember accompanying my father when he went to purchase this residential land. Afterwards my father was transferred to Honshu and was unable to return to Hokkaido; for more than half a century we have only continued paying taxes and the municipality’s costs for weeding and upkeep. My mother inherited the land and held onto her feelings about it, but she finally accepted that no one can move there anymore, so I have decided to list it here.

I visited the site more than 15 years ago. The air was clear, a small stream babbled, and a tree-lined walking path with a quaint shrine gave the place charm — I did not want to let it go. There is also a highway (constructed without harming the natural environment), and beyond it I was told there is a large, well-known ranch. From a nearby main road (which likely has light traffic) you can look straight down the slope and see the sea far in the distance. In the end, however, Hokkaido was simply too far away for us.

Two years ago my daughter and her partner visited the property while touring Hokkaido; they also said it was a lovely spot. 私が現地を訪れたのは15年以上も前になりますが、澄んだ空気と小川のせせらぎ、緑に沿った散歩道には趣のある祠もあって、手放すという気持ちにはなりませんでした。(自然を害さない)高速道路も通っていて、その向こうには大きな知名な牧場があると聞きました。また、近くの大きな通り(と言っても交通量はおそらく少ない)からは、真っすぐ下った遥か先に海も見えたと思います。けれども結局、北海道は遠過ぎでした。

一昨年には娘カップルが北海道周遊の途中で見に行ってくれましたが、やはりいいところだったと言っていました。道を挟んだお向かいで家庭菜園をなさっていた方が、取り立てトマトをくださったと言っていました。(ありがとうございました)　私が小川と思っていたのは(立派な)牛舎川、小さな散歩道や自然公園も整っているのですね。また、古くなってしまった分譲地と思っていましたが、新しい一戸建てもちらほら出来ているようでした。手放す時期は何時でも結構ですが、ご案内はできませんので、ご自身で現地を見に行っていただければと思います。地元の不動産屋さんにも依頼しています。価格は手続き諸費用を賄い、母を安心させてあげられるものであれば嬉しいです。

インフラに関し、ガス情報は存じませんが、その他は問題ないはずです。上下水道だと思うのですが、何年も前に費用をお支払いしていました。請求されたものは全て完全に納入しています。

北海道の中では温暖な地と聞いていますが、地元の方はご存じですね。（購入したころは北海道の湘南と謳われていました）冬はやはり雪に埋まるのでしょうか。当時の分譲地の一番奥の区画、緑と自然が心地よく静かなところを選んでいたので、公共交通機関から遠いと思っていたのですが、最近は近くにバス停も出来ているようです（要確認）一昨年の状況（娘談）で、おそらくご近所さん(?)が物(木材等簡単に取り払えそうな程度)を置かれているようでした。
