I never really thought about it in my daily life, but seeing the roof somehow brings a sense of calm. With the increase in tall buildings, it's rare to have such a view. Moreover, if the roof is to my liking, it becomes a favorite part of the scenery. It feels heartwarming to look at.

In a quiet area lined with detached houses in Tsujido, a low-rise apartment building suddenly appears. The building is a modified version shaped like a U, with balconies on both the north and south sides. It has been designed to allow light and wind to flow into each unit.

The room we are introducing this time is in the back building, not visible from the front road. Since it is a certain distance from the traffic, it should be quiet. There are no tall buildings around, so just going up to the second floor makes the sky feel wide.

By the way, if you look at the map from above, you can see that this apartment building has different roof shapes and colors in various places. By the way, the building where this room is located has a black roof. I'm sure a different view can be seen from across the street. I love the contrast of red and blue, so I felt lucky with this view.

Additionally, there are feat日常であまり意識したことはなかったのですが、屋根が見えるって、なんだか落ち着きます。背の高い建物が増えた今、こんなにも視界に入ることって珍しい。更にはその屋根が自分好みだったりすると、ちゃんとお気に入りの、1つの風景になるんですね。見ていてほのぼのします。

辻堂の戸建て住宅が並ぶ閑静な地に、ふと現れる低層の集合住宅。建物は雁行型にコの字となった変形バージョンで、バルコニーは北と南で2面付き。それぞれの住戸に光と風が行き渡るよう考えられています。

今回ご紹介する部屋は、前面道路から見えない奥の棟。車通りから一定の距離があるので音に関しては安心かと。周囲には高い建物がないため、2階に上がっただけで空が広く感じられます。

そうそう。マップで上空から見てもらうと分かるのですが、この集合住宅は所々屋根の形状や色が違うのです。ちなみにこの部屋がある棟は黒色の屋根。きっと向かい側からは違った景色が覗けるんでしょう。私は赤と青のコントラストが好きなので、この眺望でラッキーと思っちゃいました。

その他にも、リビングの出窓や備え付けの洋服ダンス。浴室やキッチンのタイル、少々時代を感じる洗面台もレトロで可愛らしいのです。天井は屋根に沿って勾配。高さはあまりないのですが、こじんまりとした居心地の良さも魅力に感じられました。

室内は廊下を隔て、1部屋ずつ扉で仕切られています。北側の和室は約7.6帖の横長空間。ここを寝室にして、家族で川の字になって寝るのも楽しそうと思います。そうすると南側の明るい洋室は、日中に仕事や勉強をする部屋になりそうですかね。

LDKはコンパクト。その分、工夫のしがいがあります。高めのチェアを置いて、カウンターをダイニングテーブル代わりにするか、低めのテーブルと出窓をつなげても良い。キッチンの背面にある扉を開けると、ここは洗濯機置き場。ちょっとした隠し扉のようでおもしろいポイントです。

共用部や玄関にはサーフボードや子どもの遊び道具、自転車などが無造作に置かれていて、整っているとはいえません。むしろその生活感が心地よく、多少の錆びや汚れ、整頓されていない感じも受け入れられているように感じます。

The attractive kitchen, which could become the room’s focal point, separates the stove and the prep counter so you can enjoy a sense of “live” cooking. Preparing coffee or snacks on the counter is likely to become a small daily pleasure.

The bathroom is tiled and charming. The rain shower suggests the place was imagined with surfers in mind — those who enjoy surfing in Shonan — but it’s a pleasant feature even if you don’t surf. The washbasin is a cute, retro-style piece. If you look closely, the doors and storage shelves inside the unit have an ant室内に入った瞬間、ふっと心がゆるみます。ほっこりとした日差し、感じる湘南らしいリラックスした雰囲気。1階の部屋でありながら、道路から少し高さがあるのと、前面道路とその前にあるマンションまでも距離があること。敷地内の大きな木がいい具合に緑を感じさせてくれ、この環境が作られているのです。

とにかく明るい南向きの室内。オーナーが取得した際に惚れ込んだという無垢材の床を活かすリノベーションをと、味わい豊かな内装に仕上げました。この部屋の顔となりそうな素敵なキッチンは、コンロと作業台が分かれるタイプにして、ライブ感が楽しめるように。作業台でコーヒーやおつまみを用意する時間が楽しみになりそうです。

浴室はタイル貼りで可愛らしく。レインシャワーの設置は、湘南でサーフィンを楽しむ方が住むことを想定しているのかな。もちろん波乗りしなくても気持ちのいい設備です。洗面台はコロンとレトロなタイプ。よく見ていくと、室内に設置されている扉や収納棚はアンティークで味のあるもの。のっぺりとした内装では自分らしくない、と感じていた方にピンとくる内容だと思えます。

間取りは1DKという感じで、洋室との間にある引戸でダイニング部分と居室を分けることができます。普段は扉を開けて開放的に、友達が来るときだけ扉を閉めてプライバシーを確保。そんな使い方ができそうです。扉を閉めてもそこまで圧迫感がないのは、天井がやや高いからでしょうか。これは嬉しいポイントなので、ぜひ現地にてご確認を。

最寄り駅からの足はというと、「テラスモール湘南」がある辻堂駅からバス便で。もしくは小田急線の鵠沼海岸駅から徒歩か自転車でついっと家まで帰るというのが便利でおすすめです。近隣のお店は地元の人に人気の蕎麦屋やアイスクリーム屋さんなどなど、自転車で散策すると楽しいと思います。もちろん、サーフィンにも出かけましょう。歩いても海までは7分程。自転車で思い立ったときにすぐに波に乗れる距離感です。

敷地内に駐車場もあるため、例えば都内での打合せには車で行く。休日は少し足を伸ばして葉山や横須賀方面にも遊びに行きたい。そういうライフスタイルの方にも便利だろうと思います。
