The Kushiro River and the Kobetsu River flow through the city. The Sakuragaoka area, which is located further south of the Kabetsu River that flows to the south, is a suburban residential area with Kobetsu Shrine and Sakuragaoka Forest Park, as well as hot spring guesthouses and a stopover hot spring "Kame-no-yu". The property is located about 450 meters from Route 53, which leads from Kushiro City to the center of the town. It is located at the back of an old subdivision with a hot spring right where the forest where Ezo squirrels live on the north side, and there is a hot spring guesthouse 100 meters away. The front road is gravel, but it is a place where self-build, tiny house, garage, etc. seem to be suitable.

Hokkaido experiences long, harsh winters with heavy snowfall, which may not be to everyone's liking. However, Hokkaido offers a more affordable housing market compared to major southern cities like Tokyo or Osaka. It's possible to find reasonably priced properties, including traditional houses and modern homes, especially in smaller towns and rural areas.
Hokkaido is celebrated for its stunning natural landscapes. It's a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Hokkaido's cities, such as Sapporo, are known for their high quality of life. The region enjoys clean air, a lower population density, and a slower pace of life compared to the more crowded and bustling cities on the main islands.
