This was my grandparents' home. It has been vacant for about 7 years, including the time spent in the hospital. I have been managing it by regularly trimming the garden, cleaning, and organizing things. Since my grandmother had a serious home vegetable garden, it would be good for someone who can utilize that setup. (You can rent the neighboring land cheaply for farming.) Farmers are welcome. The house was built in 1947, and as soon as you enter the entrance, there is a dirt floor and a Goemon bath. That part was renovated in 1965, and the entrance design and attic were created, but due to the Kumamoto earthquake and subsequent aftershocks, only the renovated part has gradually tilted. Last month, I had someone from the insurance company, which I have earthquake insurance with, take a look, and they said it would only be considered partial damage, and that the parts other than the renovated section are solid. If you are considering living in this house for a long time, I think some measures will be necessary regarding that. There is a water area to the right of the entrance, where well water can be used. Inside the house, there is tap water. There is nothing obstructing the view in祖父母宅でした。入院期間など入れて7年程前から空き家です。定期的に庭の剪定や清掃、物の整理などしながら管理しています。祖母が本格的な家庭菜園をやっていたので、そんな作りを活かせる方が良いのかと思います。（畑はお隣の土地を安価で借りれますので）農家さん歓迎です。
昭和２２年に建てられ、玄関入ってすぐに土間・五右衛門風呂がありました。その部分を昭和４０年に改築し画像にある玄関の作りと屋根裏部屋ができたのですが、熊本地震とその後の度重なる余震で少しづつで改築部分だけが傾いてきています。先月も地震保険に加入している保険会社の方に見て頂いたのですが一部損壊にしかならないし、改築部分以外はしっかりしているとのことでした。長年この家屋に住む事をお考えであればその辺の対処が必要かと思います。玄関の右横水場があるのですが、そこは井戸水が使えます。家屋内は水道です。
目の前は視界を遮るものが無く（田んぼです）、阿蘇の景色を一望できます。四季を通して野花を楽しめたりトンボや鈴虫、鳥の声など自然を感じながら過ごせます。人通りや車の通りはほぼない静かな場所です。家屋は補修しなければならない気になる箇所はあります。植木温泉が近く、小学校と中学校が徒歩圏内にあり、病院（内科・胃腸科・循環器科・外科・整形外科・肛門科・リハビリテーション科・麻酔科）も比較的近いです。
