Kumejima, which is rich in nature, is home to Hatenohama, the largest sandbar in the Orient. You can also experience snorkeling on your way to Hatenohama, and there are tuna fishing boats and diving shops. The property is a vacant lot along Prefectural Route 242, Chuo Dori, in Kumejima Town, but the neighbors across the street are using it as a parking lot for free so that they don't throw away trash.
