I have extensive hands-on experience in carpentry, structural work, roofing, plumbing, interior renovation, commercial renovation and project management.

I am currently restoring a roughly 100-year-old kominka in Yosano, northern Kyoto. The property is called “Tomonosuke Hanare” and is being prepared as an accommodation facility.

The work includes floor and subfloor reconstruction, structural reinforcement, bathroom renovation, a wood-burning stove and a hand-built outdoor bath. Wherever possible, I preserved and reused the original pillars, beams, fittings, fusuma and irori hearth.

I am not a fluent English speaker, but I can communicate directly by email or chat with translation support. I have also hosted many international homestay guests and am comfortable working with people from different countries.
