Description

In February 2023, I purchased a vacant house as a second home and spent over 6 million yen on a full renovation. I had planned to use it as a hobby house, but after the renewal, I found the rooms to be very spacious and realized I couldn't fully utilize it, so I decided to sell it this time.

The house has been renovated while retaining the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese house, resulting in a very nostalgic finish. It has good ventilation and can be cool even in summer. The back area is slightly cliff-like (the land here is elevated) and is overgrown with trees, so it might be a bit scary at night. The layout includes 5DK and a 4.5-tatami mat dirt floor. Here, you can comfortably keep large dogs and other pets, so I would love for large families to make use of it. There is also parking space for one car.

Renovation history: In 2020, the water heater, first-floor toilet, and independent washbasin were replaced. In July 2023, the roof was repaired, all rooms in the 5DK were renovated (floor, walls, and ceiling), the second-floor toilet was replaced, a unit bath was newly installed on the first floor, two air conditioners were newly installed, a monitor intercom was newly insta

Settling in Japan

Japan is an enticing destination for those looking to immigrate and start a new life. It is a country that seamlessly blends rich tradition with cutting-edge modernity. One of the key factors that make Japan so attractive to prospective immigrants is the housing availability. While Japan's bustling metropolises like Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto offer a wide range of housing options, from modern apartments to traditional machiya, the country also faces a unique issue: a surplus of vacant houses, especially in rural areas. This provides an intriguing opportunity for immigrants to potentially acquire properties at reasonable prices, often at a fraction of what one might pay in major cities.

Japan's real estate market is diverse and can cater to various budgets. While cities like Tokyo tend to be on the higher end of the spectrum, there are still affordable options to be found in the suburbs and smaller towns. This inclusivity in housing costs allows immigrants to select a location that suits their financial circumstances.
