Description

A 179-year-old traditional house is built here, but the surrounding garden and fields are overgrown with weeds, and the large trees are towering high. If this continues, I will need to hire a gardener for regular pruning and cutting once or twice a year, which is a drawback, and I want to sell it quickly. I, the owner, live in Kurume City, which is convenient for going to downtown Fukuoka. The land, measuring 150 tsubo, has been evaluated at 10 million yen by a judicial scrivener at the Yanagawa City Legal Affairs Bureau. Due to being a 179-year-old traditional house, the staff at the historical document center investigated and stated that it is a building of significant historical value comparable to cultural heritage built during the Tempo era. It was suggested that selling it for 10 million yen would not be an exaggeration. It used to have an irori (sunken hearth). The exterior walls are relatively new for its age because they were completely repaired after being partially destroyed by a large typhoon in 1991.

Settling in Japan

Japan is an enticing destination for those looking to immigrate and start a new life. It is a country that seamlessly blends rich tradition with cutting-edge modernity. One of the key factors that make Japan so attractive to prospective immigrants is the housing availability. While Japan's bustling metropolises like Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto offer a wide range of housing options, from modern apartments to traditional machiya, the country also faces a unique issue: a surplus of vacant houses, especially in rural areas. This provides an intriguing opportunity for immigrants to potentially acquire properties at reasonable prices, often at a fraction of what one might pay in major cities.

Japan's real estate market is diverse and can cater to various budgets. While cities like Tokyo tend to be on the higher end of the spectrum, there are still affordable options to be found in the suburbs and smaller towns. This inclusivity in housing costs allows immigrants to select a location that suits their financial circumstances.
