It's been a while since I last visited! A tasteful old house in a typical Kamakura location. I love these kinds of places. It's located in a different world at the very back, surrounded by lush greenery. The surroundings are quiet, and the only sounds you can hear are the chirps of birds and the murmur of a stream. The surrounding houses are also elegantly built, and the neighbors are busy pruning their plants. A beloved town is one in which people become part of the scenery. The sight of residents enjoying life outdoors can be said to be a sign of the town's status. The layout is also interesting. It looks so hard to use! The entrance is narrow, and the bathroom beyond it has no dressing room. Renovation is a given for a house with a teenage girl. Where will they eat? If you trace the layout, you can imagine a chabudai table in a 4.5 tatami Japanese-style room. Or will they use the 8 tatami dining room as a dining area? Either way, it's too narrow or too wide, so the balance is off. And the position of the stairs! Go through the service room to the second floor. The layout is like a maze. Renovation is likely to be necessary, but the exterior is a tasteful Sukiya-style design tha久しぶりにでました!

The white walls and orange roof tiles stand out against the blue sky. Even after 27 years, it doesn't feel dated at all. Rather, the aging of the stone pavement, potted plants, street lamps, and apartment signboards give it a tasteful vintage atmosphere.

Amanawa Shrine in Hase is the oldest shrine in Kamakura. It is said that Yoritomo's ancestor, Hachiman Taro Yoshiie, was granted the title by his father, Yoriie, who prayed to Amanawa Shrine. Without this shrine, the Kamakura Shogunate may not have existed. Right next to Amanawa Shrine, we discovered a beautiful old house! Passing through the wooden gate at the entrance, which makes you want to say "Excuse me," you will find a large garden. Facing due south, it is full of sunlight and there is also a wooden deck where you can relax. Most of the south side of the house is made up of windows, so the house is designed to let in plenty of natural light. Unusually for this type of property, it has a wide road access and a covered parking lot on the premises. It is also on a corner lot. It is an 8-minute walk from the sea. This house was built in 1938 and has been carefully lived in while being renovated as necessary. The property itself is sold as land, and the land alone is valuable enough that it can of course be cleared and rebuilt.

This single-story house is located on a hilltop, a 6-minute walk from Keikyu Shin-Otsu Station, on a plot of approximately 103 tsubo (approx. 330 m2). With a distant view of Sarushima Island and Gunkan, the garden is planted with seasonal flowers, with the red and white plum blossoms being lovely at this time of year, and the winter camellias blooming gracefully. When the hydrangeas are in season, they will likely bloom beautifully. The view of the garden through the tasteful sash window, with its wooden frame and old-fashioned glass, is exceptional.

Is spring on its way? The sun is warm, the fresh breeze is blowing, and the plum blossoms are starting to bloom. Today, a Japanese white-eye came to play on the plum tree, which is the symbol of the house. The wide wooden deck that stretches from the living room faces directly south, so the sun shines brightly. The view is open and spacious because it is on a hill.

A starry sky and a Goemon bath. It's a place where you can have fun like this, just a little over an hour from Tokyo. Located at the southern tip of the Miura Peninsula, it is a typical Miura Peninsula location, surrounded by vast fields and the sea. There are few streetlights and the surrounding fields have little light even at night, so on clear nights you can enjoy moonlight bathing and a starry sky. This alone is exciting, but there is even more to enjoy with this property. There is space to grow a field in the large garden, and the beautiful green carpet of grass looks amazing! In the BBQ space outside, you can grill pizza around the fire with your friends and even enjoy a Goemon bath. There is a barn at the back of the property, and it is big enough to fit two Hiace cars, so it would be fun to customize the barn in various ways and finish it like your favorite garage. In any case, it is packed with things that you would like to have. There are many fishing spots nearby, so it's a great environment for fishing enthusiasts, and depending on the season, there is a beach where you can go clamming, and the popular morning market at Kaneda Fishing Port, which is just a short drive満天の星空と五右衛門風呂。

Although it is a fisherman's town, it has a marina and a West Coast-like atmosphere, and is very popular as a "shining town" in Zushi City. I don't take pictures like the young girls, but I often go out to eat fresh seafood.

Japan is an enticing destination for those looking to immigrate and start a new life. It is a country that seamlessly blends rich tradition with cutting-edge modernity. One of the key factors that make Japan so attractive to prospective immigrants is the housing availability. While Japan's bustling metropolises like Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto offer a wide range of housing options, from modern apartments to traditional machiya, the country also faces a unique issue: a surplus of vacant houses, especially in rural areas. This provides an intriguing opportunity for immigrants to potentially acquire properties at reasonable prices, often at a fraction of what one might pay in major cities.
Japan's real estate market is diverse and can cater to various budgets. While cities like Tokyo tend to be on the higher end of the spectrum, there are still affordable options to be found in the suburbs and smaller towns. This inclusivity in housing costs allows immigrants to select a location that suits their financial circumstances.
AllAkiyas.com puts at your disposition thousands of Japanese real estate listings of properties available for sale or rent. Our extensive listings include detached houses, townhouses, apartments, commercial spaces, and vacant lots. We place a special focus on traditional vacant houses, known as akiya (or kominka in rural areas), and traditional townhouses, or machiya. You can easily search for properties across all of Japan's prefectures using your specific criteria.
