This land can be owned by anyone, and since there are no regulations set by the Minami Chita Agricultural Promotion Division, anyone can utilize it for agriculture as long as they notify the Agricultural Committee. In the western part of Katori (Sawara) in Shimousa Province, Ohto was located along the coast of an inland sea known as Katori no Umi during the Jomon period, where fishing and hunting were practiced, and shell mounds and ancient tombs have been discovered. When the Yamato court unified Japan, Katori Shrine served as the eastern front base. During the Kamakura period, a manor was established in Ohto, and Tokizaki Castle was built. 木組み・土壁・石場建ての伝統構法で建てた家は、2003年4月、大戸に竣工しました。無垢の木と自然素材の家です。木材はすべて栗駒山の燻煙乾燥材を用い、気仙大工が自ら刻んだ材を組み上げました。

This is an old folk house that belonged to my father's family (near Suda Port). The building, constructed in 1933, was inherited by the eldest daughter from her biological father, but she has decided to give up maintaining it as it will not be used anymore. There is a two-story main house with a dirt floor at the entrance and a detached house on the seaside, which has high ceilings. However, the exterior walls and tile roof are quite damaged, and renovations are necessary for use. Nevertheless, it has a significant retro feel, and the Seto Inland Sea is right in front of it. Many old furniture and household items remain, and we hope to find someone who will take them as they are.

The state from the early Showa period has been preserved. It is right in front of the Seto Inland Sea, and depending on how it is used, there are no obstructions to view the sea. Description

This is a green town in Yokohama City. As you leave the prefectural road along the banks of the Maioka River, which flows through the hills, you will see a roof resembling a split helmet a little further up. This building was designed by architect Jiro Honsugi (1932-2011), who led the Tokyo Design Office and worked on numerous projects including residential and welfare facilities. His representative work is his own residence, the Honsugi Jiro House (1963). Completed nine years later, this former Honsugi Tetsuo House was the residence of Jiro Honsugi's brother and was also a project for rebuilding the family home.

The building features a roof resembling a deformed irimoya style, which is set against an L-shaped volume. The exterior is currently covered with corrugated steel plates, but it seems that the roof was originally slate and the exterior walls were board-clad. There is a wide eaves space next to the entrance. Two round columns, slightly offset from the wall's core, branch out and robustly support the large eaves even after more than 50 years, creating a calm atmosphere on the engawa (veranda). 横浜市の緑豊かな町です。丘をかき分けて流れる舞岡川のほとりの県道を外れ、少し登ったところに、半分に割った兜のような屋根が見えてきます。この建築を設計したのは建築家・本杉治郎氏(1932-2011)です。株式会社東京設計事務所を主宰し、住宅や福祉施設など、数々の作品を手掛けた建築家です。代表作は自邸である本杉治郎邸(1963)です。その9年後に竣工した、この旧本杉哲夫邸は、本杉治郎の兄の住まいであり、実家の建て替えのプロジェクトでもありました。

L字型のヴォリュームにぶつけられた、変形の入母屋のような屋根がこの建築の特徴です。外装は現在は波板鋼板でおおわれていますが、建築当初は屋根はスレート葺、外壁は下見板張だったようです。玄関の脇には広い軒下空間があります。壁の芯を少し外して配された、枝分かれした2本の丸柱が、築50年を超えてなお、大きな軒を力強く支えて、縁側の落ち着いた空気を作っています。玄関ドアを開けると、軽やかな階段と、木材の印象がどこか懐かしさを感じさせます。

1階にはキッチン・ダイニング、和室、水回りがあります。渡り廊下や吹抜けなどダイナミックな架構が特徴の建築家住宅です。
