A space where sacred feelings and celebratory emotions coexist. Upon entering, you are welcomed by iron decorations reminiscent of a writer's atelier, and as you open the entrance, you find a dignified space akin to a gallery. However, as you proceed to the dining area, you are enveloped in a gentle atmosphere reminiscent of a church, offering an indescribable spatial experience.神聖な気持ちと、おめでたい気持ちが共存する。そんな空間に出会いました。まるで作家のアトリエのようなアイアン装飾に迎えられたかと思うと、玄関を開ければギャラリーのような凛とした空間。しかしダイニングまで通していただくと、そこは教会のような優しさに包み込まるという、なんとも形容し難い空間体験を味わうことができます。

As you proceed beyond the valley, there is a flat land with a large garden. And there stands a long, east-west oriented single-story house. When viewed from the garden, no artificial structures other than this house enter the camera's frame. I couldn't help but feel a thrill, thinking, "I can't believe such a place exists!"

This is no surprise. This valley has a history of being chosen by Kamakura's heritage, such as Hōkoku-ji Temple and the former Kachōkyū Palace. I had thought that there must be good buildings further ahead, and I had gone to the dead end, but many houses have their foundations higher than the road, making it difficult to see.

This property is also hardly visible from the street. It offers a highly private space, and once you enter the premises, you won't be concerned about the outside. It feels like there is a dignified time that belongs only to us.

The building was constructed in 1969 (Showa 44) and was renovated three years ago in 2022 (Reiwa 4). The spacious LDK facing the garden captures the needs of modern single-story living with a garden. I am also impressed by the number of windows facing the garden.

Standing in the kitchen,＜価格変更しました＞

谷戸の先に進むと、大きな庭が広がる平らな土地があったのです。そしてそこにあるのは東西に長い間取りの平屋。庭からこの家を見ると、自分の家以外の人工物がカメラの画角に入ってこない。こんな場所があったなんて！と思わずゾワっと武者震いしてしまいました。

それもそのはず。この谷戸には報国寺、旧華頂宮邸など鎌倉の遺産がこの場所を選んだ歴史がある谷戸。この先にはきっといい建物があるに違いないと思って、行き止まりまで行ったことはあったのですが、宅盤が道路よりも高い家が多く、その様子が伺えずにおりました。

今回の物件も通りからはその姿はほとんど見えません。かなりプライバシーの高い空間であり、敷地内に入ると外の様子が気になりません。そこには凛とした自分たちだけの時間があるように思います。

建物は1969年（昭和44年）に建てられたものを3年前の2022年（令和4年）にリノベーションされています。庭に向いた広いLDKは現代の庭のある平屋暮らしのニーズをとらえています。そして庭に向いた窓の多さにも感激します。

キッチンに立ち、目の前に広がるのはワイドなお庭。この光景が欲しかった！という方は多いのではないでしょうか。ここで鎌倉野菜を使った料理を楽しむ。ハーブティーを淹れる。普段の料理にこの場所がもたらす魔法がかかりそうです。

天井や柱など、部分的に古い味わいがある部分を見せつつ、設備や窓サッシなどは新規になっている点も使いやすそうです。床も無垢のフローリングや縁のない琉球畳など、素材感を楽しめる仕上げになっていて地べたに座ったり寝そべったりする生活をしながら庭や空を愛でることができる。これってありそうでない豊かさなのかもしれません。

間取りは4LDKのような空間で、間取り図にある書斎は、はなれのような空間になっていて、在宅での仕事が多い方には生活のオン／オフのスイッチを切り替えるのに相性が良いかと思います。

お庭はとても広いのでいじり甲斐がありますね。といってもあまりにも広いのでガーデナーさんなど頼れるプロの手もお借りしながら管理していくとよいかもしれません。私からも庭師さんやガーデナーさんをご紹介することはできますのでご相談ください。

全て外壁は杉板張り。よくあるサイディングや量産的な表情とはまったく違う、木そのものの存在感があります。新築なのに、すでに風景に馴染んでいる。時間が経てば経つほど、色が落ち着き、味わいが増していくのが想像できます。

This is a uniquely shaped house with a right triangle corner cut off. The lower corner facing the front road has a wide sliding window installed, allowing sunlight to enter the entire interior through the sloped ceiling of the atrium. The first floor has the living room in front of the kitchen, with a toilet, bathroom, and Western-style room in the back, making it easy to separate private and public spaces. A newly built row of cedar-clad houses — three constructed at the same time. Encountering that sight is naturally exhilarating; it feels like being in a forest.

A cluster of board-clad houses has appeared in the Kajiwara residential area. Building B is located furthest back; its approach feels flanked on both sides, but because there are no buildings to the south or west, the three houses do not feel closely packed together.

The exterior is clad with Yakushima cedar boards. Completely different from common siding or mass-produced façades, the wood has a strong, natural presence. Just after completion the fresh wooden exterior shows a vivid color that forms a beautiful contrast with the blue sky; after a few years the color will mellow to gray, the boards will gradually contract and develop a weathered patina much like aged skin. 梶原の住宅地に現れた板張りの家の群れ。B棟は最も奥にありアプローチは左右に囲まれるような感覚ですが、南と西側に建物がないため３棟が近接しているような感じはないのです。

外壁は屋久島産の杉板張り。よくあるサイディングや量産的な表情とはまったく違う、木そのものの存在感があります。竣工後まもない木の外壁は鮮やかな色で空の青さとのコントラストが美しく、数年経つと色がさめて、グレーになやがて板が収縮して人間の肌のように年季が入ってきます。それがこの家の魅力。

I truly wondered why anyone would build a condominium here.

Perched on a slope in a location that can hardly be called convenient, I kept asking why this land was deliberately chosen. When I entered the room, drew the living-room curtains and opened the windows, the reason came in on the breeze.

The fresh air and the green of Mount Abekura and the surrounding hills seemed to be absorbed into me, seeping in. I imagined the person who planned this condominium must have stood here and become captivated by this wind and view.

The view from these windows is like a rich tonic that soothes everyday fatigue. Open the windows, breathe the outside air and take in the mountain greenery, and you feel as if the weight that had settled over your head gently melts away.

The apartment has been renovated to showcase that feeling. At the entrance, carved solid-wood rib panels create a warm entry, and through the clear-glass living-room door you can glimpse the green scenery.

なぜここにマンションを建てたのだろうと純粋に疑問に思ったのです。

斜面に張り付いた立地、決して便利とは言えない立地。あえてこの土地を選んで建てた理由は何だったんだろう。この部屋に入りリビングのカーテンを引き、窓を開け放つと風とともにその理由が吹き込んできました。

爽やかな風と阿部倉山と周辺の山の緑が体内に吸収されて、染み込むような感じ。きっとこのマンションを計画した方はこの場所に立って、この風と景色の虜になったんじゃないかと思ったのです。

ここの窓からの景色は、日頃の疲れを癒す濃厚な栄養剤みたいなもの。窓を開けて外の空気を吸い山の緑を思いっきり受け入れると、頭の上からすうっと溜まっていたものが抜け出てていくような気がするのです。

それをうまく演出してくれるようにリフォームされた部屋。玄関に入ると無垢板を削り出したリブパネルが張られ、温かみのあるエントランスになっています。透明ガラスのリビングドア越しに緑の景色をうかがうこともできます。

リビングに入ると木のパーケットフロアに温かみがあり、靴を脱いだら素足で過ごしたくなる床材。カーテンを開け放ち、窓をフルに開ければ、濃い葉山の緑が目にとびこんできます。

バルコニーに面した２部屋は違った意匠の木のフローリングを敷いています。収納は扉を付けず味わいのあるパイプハンガーとカーテンのシンプルなもの。あえて限られたスペースを自身で工夫して収納できるようにしています。クローゼットと部屋の間はアーチのある仕切りを設け、ゆるやかに区切っています。

北側の床にグレーのフロアタイルを敷いた約4帖の部屋は大型の収納庫として利用してもよいかもしれません。

この部屋に使われている建具は合わせる家具などによってぐっと素敵になる予感がします。カーテンは輸入物の素材を扱っている生地屋さんでちょっと派手なくらいの柄の布をピンチで吊るすだけ。大ぶりの観葉植物を部屋のコーナーに。家具は無垢材を使ったものやアンティークで揃えればぐっと雰囲気が引き締まりますね。

こうして自分だけのリラックスできる部屋を作り上げれば、部屋に帰るのが楽しみになります。

さあ外から帰ってきたらリビングの窓を開け放ち、外の景色と風を思う存分堪能しようじゃありませんか。
