Next year, the first phase of a theme park called Junglia, which is bigger than Disney, is scheduled to open near Nago City. Tourists from all over the world will come, but they will play on Okinawa's main island. A few years ago, I purchased land in the most populous urban area of Kumejima, near Okinawa's main island, where the property value is likely to increase, with the idea of living on a quiet remote island. There are six flights a day from Kumejima Airport to Naha (35 minutes), and two round trips a day from Naha Tomari Port to Kumejima (3 hours via Tonaki Island on the way), and during certain seasons you may encounter whales. Kumejima, which is rich in nature, is home to Hatenohama, the largest sandbar in the Orient. You can also experience snorkeling on your way to Hatenohama, and there are tuna fishing boats and diving shops. The property is a vacant lot along Prefectural Route 242, Chuo Dori, in Kumejima Town, but the neighbors across the street are using it as a parking lot for free so that they don't throw away trash.
