Minamihata is a central area, but the village, which is not visible from the main road, is dotted with artists' workshops and light restaurants, and its unique charm is hidden. This is Minamihata, but... this is the land we visited this time. If you look at the photo, it looks like a deep forest. However, within a 5-minute walk, there are actually two bakeries, a cafe, and several artists' studios! If you walk a little further, you will find an elementary school right away! It is a location where you can enjoy the nature that is typical of Minamihata, and enjoy life in the area even on foot. The entire land is covered with trees in the back, which personally makes me feel excited and adventurous, like I am developing a secret base. When you think about it, the ancestors of the area may have carved out their own utopia in a place like this. How about a house with a vegetable garden or a studio/home in this place? It would be great to have a coffee break while relaxing on the balcony and looking at the surrounding natural scenery! At night, you can enjoy the starry sky. It's a lovely place surrounded by nature, but it's currently farmland, so if you want to turn it into residential

It's been a while since I last visited! A tasteful old house in a typical Kamakura location. I love these kinds of places. It's located in a different world at the very back, surrounded by lush greenery. The surroundings are quiet, and the only sounds you can hear are the chirps of birds and the murmur of a stream. The surrounding houses are also elegantly built, and the neighbors are busy pruning their plants. A beloved town is one in which people become part of the scenery. The sight of residents enjoying life outdoors can be said to be a sign of the town's status. The layout is also interesting. It looks so hard to use! The entrance is narrow, and the bathroom beyond it has no dressing room. Renovation is a given for a house with a teenage girl. Where will they eat? If you trace the layout, you can imagine a chabudai table in a 4.5 tatami Japanese-style room. Or will they use the 8 tatami dining room as a dining area? Either way, it's too narrow or too wide, so the balance is off. And the position of the stairs! Go through the service room to the second floor. The layout is like a maze. Renovation is likely to be necessary, but the exterior is a tasteful Sukiya-style design tha久しぶりにでました!

This building is a combination store and residence, typical of the countryside. There was probably a road here in the past, and people probably lived there and ran small businesses.
The dirt floor area is spacious and has been turned into a store, so you can "do anything" here. You can make things, display things, and if you put in the effort to renovate it, you could even turn it into an old-style house cafe? Maybe?
There's also a large steel-framed warehouse in the back, so you could probably do all sorts of woodworking and metalworking!
Of course, it's also a great place to live normally and raise children, as it's quiet and in a nice natural environment, so it's recommended.
If you're thinking of escaping the city, how about this place?

The large 1800m2 site is equipped with a single-story Japanese house and a small atelier. The parking lot is large enough to accommodate four large tourist buses, making it ideal for those who are thinking of doing business in Hasami. The home, which is full of the carpenter's attention to detail, has four Japanese-style rooms, three Western-style rooms, a storage room, and a kitchen. The house is arranged in a U-shape, so it is attractive that you can naturally see the family. At the back of the large site, there is a small prefabricated atelier (about 24m2). The owner's father used it as a pottery workshop, so it is equipped with a tonpan for passing plates. It is a great facility for potters. There is a clean river nearby, and fireflies dance in May. You can hear the birds singing from the mountains, and the babbling of the stream if you listen carefully. Please consider making a new start with this attractive property. Details are also introduced in the blog.580坪の広い敷地に、平屋の日本家屋・小さなアトリエが付いています。

Japan is an enticing destination for those looking to immigrate and start a new life. It is a country that seamlessly blends rich tradition with cutting-edge modernity. One of the key factors that make Japan so attractive to prospective immigrants is the housing availability. While Japan's bustling metropolises like Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto offer a wide range of housing options, from modern apartments to traditional machiya, the country also faces a unique issue: a surplus of vacant houses, especially in rural areas. This provides an intriguing opportunity for immigrants to potentially acquire properties at reasonable prices, often at a fraction of what one might pay in major cities.
Japan's real estate market is diverse and can cater to various budgets. While cities like Tokyo tend to be on the higher end of the spectrum, there are still affordable options to be found in the suburbs and smaller towns. This inclusivity in housing costs allows immigrants to select a location that suits their financial circumstances.
AllAkiyas.com puts at your disposition thousands of Japanese real estate listings of properties available for sale or rent. Our extensive listings include detached houses, townhouses, apartments, commercial spaces, and vacant lots. We place a special focus on traditional vacant houses, known as akiya (or kominka in rural areas), and traditional townhouses, or machiya. You can easily search for properties across all of Japan's prefectures using your specific criteria.
